As a Bengali Little Magazine of poetry, NATMANDIR started its journey in 1995 with the motto of publishing new poems of the poets who came to write in the 1990s. Soon it earned a distinct place as one of the leading magazines of Bengal. Gradually NATMANDIR opened itself up to the poets who came to write in the new century and also started re-printing the poems of the distinguished poets of the earlier decades.  As a publishing house NATMANDIR began its journey in 2002 by publishing two small books of poems. Soon it was well accepted and appreciated by the readers because of the high quality of the content and the standard of the production of its books. Now, every year, alongside publishing new issues of the magazine, NATMANDIR publishes books of poems, novels, essays and short stories.
